Injection molding is a common molding method that is widely used in various manufacturing fields. Simply put, injection molding is the process of injecting molten raw materials into a mold for molding. This method can efficiently produce products with complex shapes and precise dimensions. Below, let's take a closer look at the main types of injection molding and their corresponding processes.

1. Rubber injection molding
Rubber injection molding is a method of injecting rubber materials into a mold after heating them to a viscous state, and demolding them after cooling to obtain products. The process mainly includes the following steps:

1. Put the rubber material into the heating barrel of the injection molding machine and heat it to a molten state.

2. The injection molding machine injects the molten rubber into the mold, and the shape of the mold determines the shape of the final product.

3. After cooling, open the mold and take out the molded rubber product.

Rubber injection molding has the advantages of high production efficiency, precise product size, and saving raw materials, and is widely used in the production of various rubber products.

2. Plastic injection molding
Plastic injection molding is currently one of the most commonly used methods in the production of plastic products. Similar to rubber injection molding, its process also includes heating the plastic material to a molten state and injecting it into the mold, and demolding it after cooling. The difference is that plastic injection molding has stricter control over temperature and pressure to ensure that the plastic can fully fill the mold and demold smoothly.

The process steps of plastic injection molding are as follows:

1. Put the plastic raw material into the heating barrel of the injection molding machine and heat it to a molten state.

2. Inject the molten plastic into the mold through the screw of the injection molding machine to form the desired shape.

3. After cooling, open the mold to take out the product, and perform necessary post-processing, such as deburring and trimming.

The plastic injection molding process can produce plastic products with complex shapes and precise dimensions, and has high production efficiency, which is suitable for large-scale production.

3. Powder injection molding
Powder injection molding is a new molding technology that mixes metal or non-metal powder with a certain amount of binder and injects it into the mold through an injection molding machine for molding. This method combines the advantages of powder metallurgy and injection molding, and can produce high-performance and high-precision parts.

The process steps of powder injection molding are as follows:

1. Mix metal or non-metal powder and binder evenly to form feed for injection molding.

2. Inject the feed into the mold through the injection molding machine and heat it to make the powder and binder tightly bonded.

3. Demold after cooling and take out the molded product. Subsequent treatments such as degreasing and sintering are required to improve the density and strength of the product.

The powder injection molding process can produce high-performance and complex parts, especially suitable for the production of small parts and complex parts that are difficult to manufacture by conventional processing methods.
