Plastic mold design
Plastic molds play a vital role in the injection molding process. The design and manufacture of the mold directly affect the shape, size and precision of the final product. According to different needs, the mold types are also different, such as the common two-plate mold, three-plate mold, and some sliding molds with sliders. Its basic structure includes two major parts: the male mold (lower mold) and the female mold (upper mold), as well as a constant temperature system for controlling the mold temperature. Through these fine designs and manufacturing, the mold can ensure that the plastic raw materials are properly shaped during the injection molding process, thereby producing products that meet the requirements.
Injection molding machine types and functions
Injection molding machine is a key equipment for plastic molding. It is mainly composed of plasticizing, injection devices, mold clamping devices and transmission mechanisms. Its working principle is: the electrical system drives the motor, the motor drives the oil pump, and the oil pump generates oil pressure. This oil pressure further pushes the piston, and the piston drives the mechanical part, thereby generating the necessary actions to complete the injection molding process. Injection molding machines are classified by injection, clamping and feeding methods, and include multiple important systems, such as injection system, clamping system, hydraulic system and electronic control system.
Plastic material characteristics
Plastic materials can be divided into two categories: thermosetting and thermoplastic. The characteristic of thermosetting plastics is that once formed, they cannot be used again, and their molecular structure eventually presents a body shape. Thermoplastic plastics are just the opposite. They can be repeatedly remade, and are divided into crystalline (such as PBT, PA) and amorphous (such as PC, PPO). Different materials are suitable for different purposes. The types of plastics widely used in the market include PP, ABS, PBT, PC, PA, PPS and POM.
Molding conditions and processes
Molding conditions cover multiple key parameters such as speed, pressure, temperature, time, stroke and quantity. These parameters affect the quality of the final product.
